The abundant supply of clean, low-cost shale gas in our region provides an opportunity to explore new or expanded end uses for the gas. Clearly, utility-scale, gas-fired electricity generation will be the prominent use, with plans already underway for large-scale power generation using the gas in the Mid-Atlantic region.
This workshop will focus on three additional areas where expanded gas use opportunities exist:
Participants will join one of these three Working Groups to discuss
opportunities and roadblocks to increase the use of natural gas in each
sector, and recommend policy changes and actions needed to take full
advantage of this economic and industrial development opportunity. Click on working groups above for additional information.
