Josephine Garban, Eberly College of Science (ECOS) Intern, Intern in the Office of Technology Management, a PhD Candidate in Molecular Medicine and an Alfred P. Sloan Scholar at The Pennsylvania State University participated in a competition with a group of four other students. The group was called Bridge the GapSci, a nonprofit venture to provide basic laboratory equipment to high school science students in West African countries. Bridge the GapSci won the $7,500 grand prize in the Ag Springboard Student Business Pitch Competition.
