Researchers need participants with psoriasis

Psoriasis is a disease that causes itchy scaly patches on the skin.  Did you know that people who have psoriasis have an 86% greater chance of developing cardiovascular disease than do people who do not have psoriasis?

Purpose of the study:  To investigate the common underlying mechanisms between psoriasis and cardiovascular disease.

2 visits to Noll Laboratory are required

Participant Inclusion Criteria

Gender criteria: 
Male
Female
Starting Age in Years: 
20
Ending Age in Years: 
65
Additional Inclusion Criteria: 
  • Nonsmoker
  • May or may not have psoriasis
  • May not be taking psoriasis medication (topicals permitted)
  • Normal blood pressure
  • No heart / cholesterol medications
  • Not taking hormone replacement therapy
  • Not pregnant or breastfeeding
