Psoriasis is a disease that causes itchy scaly patches on the skin. Did you know that people who have psoriasis have an 86% greater chance of developing cardiovascular disease than do people who do not have psoriasis?
Purpose of the study: To investigate the common underlying mechanisms between psoriasis and cardiovascular disease.

Participant Inclusion Criteria
Gender criteria:
Male
Female
Starting Age in Years:
20
Ending Age in Years:
65
Additional Inclusion Criteria:
- Nonsmoker
- May or may not have psoriasis
- May not be taking psoriasis medication (topicals permitted)
- Normal blood pressure
- No heart / cholesterol medications
- Not taking hormone replacement therapy
- Not pregnant or breastfeeding
