Researchers at Penn State University need your help.!
Participate in a five-session laboratory study investigating low nicotine cigarettes. You will be asked to come into our laboratory for a total of five visits. The first visit will last 1 hour and the remaining four sessions will last about 3.5 hours. You can earn up to $260.00 total. Refreshments provided at each session. Participant Inclusion Criteria
To be eligible for this study, you must meet the following criteria:
- Gender: Female
- Age: 18 Years or older
- Smoke 10+ cigarettes per day
- Smoke for at least 6 months
- Have an expired CO >= 10 ppm on an afternoon screening visit
You are not eligible if any of the following applies to you:
- Report use of tobacco products other than traditional cigarettes
- Report use of menthol cigarettes
- Current use of tobacco treatment medication or nicotine replacement products
- Pregnant females
- Currently taking antidepressants, mood stabilizers, or anxiolytic medications
- Having a respiratory illness exacerbated by smoking
- A history of anemia or low hemoglobin levels measured on an afternoon screening visit
