Penn State is hosting the Immersive Reality Symposium to showcase and promote the different areas of virtual, augmented and mixed reality technologies and applications. The goal is to provide an opportunity for various pioneers from the industry and academia to collaborate and share ideas to help shape the future of immersive reality.

Deadline for registration will be October 7, 2016.

Immersive Reality Symposium Call for Exhibitions

Thank you for interest in contributing to Penn State's first Immersive Reality Symposium. The exhibition will represent the heart of the event and a chance for those who are leveraging VR, AR or mixed reality technologies to share and engage with colleagues from around Penn State, Industry and Government. While we welcome poster style presentations, submissions which include demo or hands on experiences will be reviewed favorably.

Topics for exhibitions may include but are not limited to:

Tracking and sensing; Input devices for VR/AR/MR; Advanced display technology; Immersive projection technology; Haptics, audio, and other non-visual interfaces; Modeling and simulation; Computer graphics techniques for VR/AR/MR; Virtual humans and avatars; Multi-user and distributed VR/AR/MR; VR systems and toolkits; 3D interaction for VR/AR/MR; 3D selection and 3D manipulation; Locomotion and navigation in virtual environments; User studies and evaluation; Perception, presence, virtual embodiment, and cognition; Teleoperation and telepresence; Applications of VR/AR/MR; Ethical issues in VR/AR/MR; Interactive storytelling in 360° videos
