IRB 201: NIH Single IRB Policy and Using the SMART IRB Agreement

Tue, Feb. 27, 2018 - 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
102 Kern Building or via Zoom

For grant applications submitted on or after January 25, 2018, all NIH-funded multi-site studies involving non-exempt human subjects research will be required to utilize a single IRB-of-Record (sIRB) for the review of human subject protections. Use of an single IRB avoids duplicative review by multiple institutional review boards.  SMART IRB is a platform designed to ease common challenges associated with initiating multisite research. Learn more about this new NIH policy and SMART IRB at this session.  Learn more about recent and upcoming NIH policy changes.
