2019/2020 Tobacco CURE Nonformula Opioid Abuse Whitepaper Notice of Intent (NOI)
The Penn State Limited Submission Program manages the response to research funding opportunities for which a limited number of submissions are permitted from Penn State.
This year’s Tobacco CURE Nonformula Funds RFA is expected to be released 'soon'. It is anticipated that there will be approximately $11 million available for 3 – 4 projects. The start date for the project will be June 27, 2019.
This year’s research priority is Opioid Abuse and Overdose Crisis in Pennsylvania.
Although there is currently NO active RFA, we are conducting a 2 step internal competition in anticipation of its release. The first step is the submission of an NOI, so that our office knows who at Penn State is interested in this opportunity and we can plan accordingly. The second step will be a downselect, which will be administered by this office once RFA is released.
We are anticipating that Penn State will be considered as one institution and will be allowed to submit only 1 proposal for this opportunity.
If you are planning to submit a proposal for this opportunity, please complete this NOI by June 27, 2018.
The information required for the NOI is:
- Name of the Principal Investigator
- External partner institution(s)
- Potential team members (internal and external) and their affiliations
- Proposal title and brief abstract (100 words or less)
Please contact the limited submission Office (limitedsubs@psu.edu) or John Anthony (jta11@psu.edu; 814-935-1081), Tobacco CURE Manager, if you have any questions.
We are anticipating that Penn State will be considered as one institution and will be allowed to submit only 1 proposal for this opportunity.
