Biography:
After receiving his undergraduate degree from Cornell, Notterman received a master’s degree in
philosophy from Tufts and a medical degree from New York University
School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in
pediatrics at New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital.
He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical pharmacology at
Cornell, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in molecular biology at
Princeton.
Notterman’s research interests, which he will continue in his laboratory at the College of Medicine, are tumor biology, gene-environment interactions in child development, and the genetic basis of autism. He is board certified in pediatrics and pediatric critical care medicine, and has served as a member of numerous national grant review panels, study sections, and committees.
