IRB Full Meeting Dates

*This schedule applies only to Full Review Applications. Expedited and Exempt applications are reviewed as they are received.

Penn State has two IRBs (IRB #1 and IRB #2) comprised of members able to review either biomedical or social science research studies. IRB subcommittee members will be assigned as per the expertise needed for the submitted study. IRB #1 meets at 8:30 AM on the second Tuesday of the month. IRB #2 meets at 11:30 AM on the 4^th Thursday of the month.

Full Review submissions will be assigned to the next available IRB meeting date as soon as the submission is prescreened and determined to be complete for presentation to the Full IRB. This new policy is applicable to new Full Review applications and modifications to Full Review studies. For Continuing Reviews to Full Review studies, a completed Continuing Progress Report must be received allowing enough time for renewed approval to be granted at an IRB meeting prior to the study's approval expiration date.
