Things to Consider before You SubmitThe ORP would like to discourage researchers from sending in documents with staples, colored ink and highlighting. ORP is entering the next phase of the process to implement a paperless protocol review system. ORP will now be scanning all hard copy data to create electronic files for compliance committee members to review. To assist us in the scanning process, we ask that you DO NOT use colored ink, highlighting or staples in the documents that you send to the ORP. These utilities could cause the scanning system to jam or discolor the data, making it virtually unreadable. In the future, the ORP will launch online applications, which can be completed and submitted via the Internet. The online application will ask a series of questions to determine the type of research you will conduct. The remainder of the online application will then be somewhat customized to your research, only requiring you to complete questions relevant to your study. |
