New ORP PositionsDr. Dolores (Dee) Maney Dr. Dolores (Dee) Maney
Dee earned her Ph. D. in Health Education at Penn State in 1987. Over the past 20 years, she has served as a co-investigator and primary investigator in many applied research studies on topics of alcohol use, HIV prevention, violence, and rioting. She also served in the Office of Planning Studies as an institutional research assistant in the late 1980s. Dee has taught undergraduate and graduate students, served on doctoral and masters committees, as well as completed an independent line of survey research on issues of alcohol abuse prevention. Dee has received several awards for her excellence in teaching. More recently, Dee served as an Assistant Professor of Health Education in the Departments of "Kinesiology," and "Health Education" in Penn State's College of Health and Human Development. Outside of the ORP, Dee enjoys power walking, yoga, bicycling, flower gardening, reading fiction, and participating in family endeavors with her husband, Bob, and step-daughter, Jill. Laura Young
Laura has been with the ORP for two and a half years. She previously held the position of customer service specialist at the ORP. Laura brings to the new position a strong working knowledge of all areas within the office where she has built strong relationships with research investigators and ORP clientele. Outside of the ORP, Laura spends time working with her husband at their wholesale perennial nursery in Centre Hall, Young American Growers. She also enjoys making crafts, knitting and crocheting, playing the piano and photography. Kimberly (Kim) Gardner
Previously, Kim supported the University Parking Office in customer service. She also has experience in technical writing and document management. Several years ago, Kim served in the United States Air Force as a Senior Airman. Outside of the ORP, Kim enjoys spending time with family, reading, walking her dog and riding her Mountain Bike at Rails to Trails. She also enjoys attending occasional concerts and plays on campus. |
