Inclusion of Carryover

As with some National Institutes of Health (NIH) projects and other Federal and non-Federal sponsor awards, carryover of funding from one year to the next requires prior approval by the sponsoring agency. 

With NIH awards, this stipulation is referenced in Part II:  Terms and Conditions of NIH Grants Awards of the NIH Grants Policy Statement, Administrative Requirements, section 8.1.1.1 Carryover of Unobligated Balances from One Budget Period to Any Subsequent Budget Period and 8.1.2.4 Carryover of Unobligated Balances.
