Occupational Health Basic Training
All individuals, including faculty, staff, technicians, students, volunteers and visitors working with animals in activities at or under the auspices of Penn State must complete the Occupational Health Basic Training.
PLEASE NOTE: We strongly recommend taking this training on a computer utilizing a Penn State Internet connection. We have been having problems with quiz reporting when an outside Internet Service Provider (ISP) is used to connect to the training. If you take this quiz using an outside ISP, and do not receive a confirmation e-mail within two (2) business days, please contact the ORP Webmaster at orpwebmaster@rtto.psu.edu. You may need to retake the training quiz if using an outside ISP and an issue occurs.
Plug-in Requirements
In order to take the IACUC Basic Training, you must have the Flash Player 7+ Plug-in and JavaScript enabled. If necessary, you can upgrade your Flash Player here.
Instructions
- The Occupational Health Basic Training consists of four modules.
- The
first module is required for everyone taking the training.
- Investigators then choose which one of the remaining three modules to
take based on research responsibilities.
- After passing the two modules, investigators will be taken to a separate screen to confirm training and submit the Animal Worker Questionnaire (AWQ).
- You may jump to modules at any time by going to the "Table of Contents" in the current module and clicking a "Jump to ..." button at the top of the screen.
