Seeking German Native Speakers for Language Study

Research Participant Criteria

To be eligible for this study, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Gender: Male or Female
  • Age: 18 - 40 Years
  • Must be a native speaker of German
  • Must have grown up in a German-speaking environment (e.g., Germany, Austria, Switzerland)
  • Must have learned German as your only first language (i.e., did not grow up bilingually from birth)

Research Study Details

Lexical and morphosyntactic processing among second language speakers

We are currently looking for German native speakers between 18-40 years old who would be interested in participating in an experiment that looks at how speakers comprehend and produce sentences in their native language being conducted for research purposes here at Penn State University by Dr. Carrie Jackson and Courtney Johnson Fowler.

The experiment lasts approximately 60 minutes and participants will receive $10/hr as compensation for their participation. The experiment will take place on the University Park campus in Ritenour 209.

Appointments for participating can be made by contacting Courtney Fowler  ( Testing will take place during the 2014 spring semester and early summer semester. Testing will take place in a single testing session lasting approximately 60 minutes. 

Compensation: $10/hour
