As a Negotiator, Susan serves the Penn State research administration community by reviewing requests for proposals, processing gifts and grants, and negotiating contracts, subawards, and modifications. She is a member of the OSP Subaward Committee, OSP Website Committee, and OSP Policy Committee.

Susan began her Research Administration career with the Office of Sponsored Programs in 2015 as a Processor providing support to Negotiators by facilitating the processing of award and non-financial documents. Then as a Grants Coordinator, she prepared and submitted proposals for a number of business areas before taking on the role of Negotiator. She previously served as the Authorized Organizational Representative (AOR) for pre-award activities for Penn State’s Outreach units. She also was a member of the University’s Pre-Award Advisory Board and mentored Proposal and Award Generalists in proposal submissions
