IRB 201: NIH Single IRB Policy and Using the SMART IRB Agreement

Tue, Feb. 27, 2018 - 12:00 PM to Wed, Feb. 28, 2018 - 12:59 PM
102 Kern Building or via Zoom

For grant applications submitted on or after January 25, 2018, all NIH-funded multi-site studies involving non-exempt human subjects research will be required to utilize a single IRB-of-Record (sIRB) for the review of human subject protections. Use of an single IRB avoids duplicative review by multiple institutional review boards.  SMART IRB is a platform designed to ease common challenges associated with initiating multisite research.
