The Human Research Protections Program (HRPP) announced updated documents and processes at the March 22 HRPP Updates Webinar.  New documents and processes go into effective April 1 and their use will be enforced starting with new submissions on 5/16/22. Already approved documents do not need to be changed to the new version.  The updates include:

  • Researchers will notice minor protocol template revisions, including additional data storage options for studies not at the College of Medicine.

  • College of Medicine’s requirement to utilize a Signature Page for Telephone Consent has been removed. The requirement to document the consent process in the research record still applies.
