Penn State’s Drone Operations Team will celebrate Drone Safety Awareness Day again on June 16, 2022 from 9:30 – 10:30 am on the HUB lawn. The Penn State community, as well as the public, are welcome to attend an in-person session around drone safety. The session is relevant to drone hobbyists, as well as commercial pilots who already have their Part 107 certification. A variety of topics will be covered, including how you can fly on University property, FAA requirements for drone pilots, and safety measures to prepare for a flight.

Registration is required.

To learn more about suggested ways to practice flight skills and to connect with a drone community, visit the Drone Operations Blog.  As a reminder, all flights on University property or for a University-affiliated activity require an approved flight request. The Drone Operations team can be reached directly at orp-drones@psu.edu or at 814-865-1775 or visit the Drone Operations website.
