The Academic Job Search and Preparing to Teach
Fri, Oct. 21, 2022 - 3:00 PM
6th floor of the Eric J. Barron Innovation Hub, 123 S. Burrowes St.

Participants will receive an overview of the academic job search and a deep dive into its teaching-related components.  Chas and Larkin, Schreyer Institute representatives, will cover strategies for obtaining and leveraging experiences that serve as evidence of teaching effectiveness.  This emphasis is critical for a successful academic job search.

If you're applying this year or next, please bring drafts of your application materials: research, teaching, and diversity statements; CV, cover letter.  At 4 pm, Jennifer will follow the structured program with an informal review of materials by advising 1:1, coaching small groups, and facilitating peer review.
