Approve a Management Plan

Researchers can use the following step-by-step guide to approve their management plan within the COINS system.

1. Click on the disclosure link in the email "COINS Researcher Disclosure Requires Management Plan - Action is Needed" 

        OR

1. Log in to COINS (https://coins.psu.edu).
2. Click on the ">>" Advanced Options menu icon.
3. Click on "Advanced Options."

3. Open the Management Plan document by clicking the document link next to the words "Management Plan" in the top-of-page header information.

4. Click on "Submit Response to Management Plan" to accept Plan as is and agree to comply with all terms and conditions of the Plan. Alternatively, click "request changes to the Plan."

5. Once accepted, the approved Management Plan may be accessed directly from the Advanced Options menu on the My Home page.

Note: If there is no management plan for the disclosure, the double-arrow menu will instead indicate "No Management Plan."
