Conflict of Interest (COI)

Penn State has financial conflict of interest policies which apply to all researchers (and other employees) and to all University research (and other scholarly activities) and are required by federal regulations.

Federal regulations and Penn State policy require researchers to disclose significant financial or business interests ("SFBI") which, due to their relationship to research or other scholarly activities, could give rise to a real or perceived conflict of interest.  The University has separate policies and procedures to address Individual and Institutional conflicts of Interest, but both are managed by the Office for Research Protections.  Please see the links above for more details.
