As the Grant Processing and Contract Compliance Team Lead, Kathy’s primary responsibilities include:
- Serves as Team Lead in the review and processing of various federal grants and other non-negotiable agreements;
- Coordinates and maintains non-financial compliance systems for PSU's sponsored, research portfolio;
- Serves as OSP interface to Office of Naval Research Administrative Contracting Officer regarding delinquent reporting and other requested projects;
- Provides regular support to OSP Assistant Professional Development Coordinator who coordinates various programs such as the ACOR Retreat, ACOR Fellows, ACOR meetings and other various webinars and professional development activities;
- Provides oversight to various budgetary functions in SIMBA, Concur, Shop On Lion, etc.) and serves as Budget Administrator or Budget Assistant as appropriate.
Kathy came to the University in 2015, starting in the College of Nursing as a Contract Coordinator. In 2016 Kathy transitioned to OSP and has since held several positions within the office. Kathy holds a bachelor’s degree in Administration of Justice from Penn State and previously worked as a personal injury paralegal prior to coming to the University. Kathy currently serves as a member of the OSP ERA Systems Committee, the OSP Events Committee, and the Federal Grant Terms and Conditions Committee.
