Participants needed for an acoustical research experiment related to concert hall acoustics. We are looking for participants with at least 5 years of formal musical training (see Inclusion Criteria). Prior to starting the test, your hearing threshold will be measured.
The study will include two sessions. The first session will consist of listening to and evaluating short classical music test signals at a controlled volume, and then listening to the signals in a mock MRI scanner. If you are invited to participate in the second session, you will be placed in an MRI machine to obtain your physiological response to the music test signals.
You can be compensated up to $45 for participation in this study. The compensation for your voluntary participation for completing the first session is $15. If you complete the second session, you will be compensated $30. The compensations will come in the form of gift cards.
