Post Approval Actions

Approved submissions can be found by selecting the “Safety” tab and then “Submissions.”

After a protocol has been approved, researchers may need to submit or be asked for “follow-on submissions.” Follow-on submissions is a term that is used when referencing an amendment, continuing review, a combined amendment/continuing review, or triennial review. The PI is responsible for annual continuing reviews, triennial reviews, and creating any necessary amendments. All of these options are listed under the “Next Steps” menu (see picture on right) for the approved protocol, which can be found in the parent protocol workspace.

When changing the PI or changing protocol team members, select both amendment types (“Other parts of the Protocol” and “Protocol team member information”). This will ensure the protocol team members can be added or removed as handlers of materials.
