Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads research safety compliance programs including the Biosafety Program (IBC), Dual Use Research of Concern and Stem Cell review and compliance, the Isotopes Program (UIC), and the Drone Operations and Dive Safety Programs
  • Directs and oversees the effectiveness of policies related to these programs
  • Collaborates with external and internal stakeholders to ensure the development and maintenance of best practices in research safety compliance programs in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards
  • Oversees external reporting to federal and accrediting agencies, including annual reporting, maintaining federal assurances, permits, and licenses, and managing federal inspection requirements.
