Graduating students are reminded that they must close their IRB protocols in CATS IRB before leaving the University.  Penn State IRB approval cannot be retained for those no longer actively affiliated with Penn State: when the Principal Investigator leaves the University, the study should be closed with the Penn State IRB or another person at Penn State must take over the role of PI and submit a modification to the IRB for approval. Note: continued IRB approval is not required when the remaining study activities are limited to analysis of de-identified data and/or manuscript preparation.

To learn how to close your study, see https://www.research.psu.edu/irb-study-closure.  Questions? Please contact your IRB analyst.
