ACES - ACOR Certification and Education Series

The ACES program is designed to give Research Administrators at every level the necessary skills and expertise to support faculty in research. The training will provide essential tools for every step of the research support process - from proposal development to project management to compliance.

Class Descriptions

ACOR Certification & Education Series is an education and certification program developed by the Administrative Committee on Research and co-sponsored by the Office for Research Protections.

We will be accepting applications from June 1, 2018 until July 15, 2018. Registration is limited, so please complete the application as soon as possible. The course always fills up quickly, but we do maintain a waitlist. Accepted applicants will be notified of their enrollment in ACES after July 15. Please note the following:

  • Participants commit to fifteen classes and two roundtable events.
  • Final graduation certification is earned at the end of the second semester.
  • Assessments are required at the end of each semester, designed to demonstrate practical application of the concepts.
  • Attendance at all classes is required.

All classes for Session 15 are held on Friday mornings, from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in 205LL The 330 Building, Innovation Park.

The course cost for 2018-19 is $1000. ACES is only open to Penn State employees.
